Daniel Lubell is a specialist in turbomachinery with understanding of the entire system and its operation. Daniel has formal training and practical focus on rotordynamics. Daniel has been an industry specialist in oil-free foil turbomachinery and its applications since 1997. In addition, Daniel has been a critical contributor to patents, trade secrets, and product invention. Most recently, as Oil-Free Machinery,LLC, Daniel has been supporting companies with next generation oil-free and direct drive turbomachinery research and development. This builds on a history with advanced products. Including Calnetix Technologies, working with the cutting edge of magnetic bearings and high performance electric drive turbomachinery. This includes the technically challenging industrial applications that require extensive development and applications in Formula 1 where timing and precision is everything. Significantly, Dan has been able to work with green technology in the form of Thermapower heat recovery systems which take otherwise wasted heat energy and convert it to needed electric power. Other previous roles include over 12 years with Capstone Turbine, with increasing responsibility and contributions for the rotordynamics and foil bearing technologies. Through this role, Daniel was a core member of new product design teams from concept through transition to mass production. In addition, to these industrial applications, Daniel has worked with aerospace turbomachinery at Hamilton Sundstrand and Honeywell. This includes APU's, high speed fans, RAT's, air cycle machines and small turbojets.Daniel's formal education includes a Masters from Texas A&M University, earned at the Turbomachinery laboratory. His bachelors degree in Engineering Science is from Trinity University.
