I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years experience in NHS Mental Health care - which means most of my career has been spent working with people who have been referred to NHS services for mental health problems. I am a Chartered member of the British Psychological Society. I’m an accredited tutor with The Association of Psychological Therapies (APT) - the leading provider of training for professionals (doctors, nurses and therapists) working in mental health and related areas.I also offer therapy to people who need help on a private basis, working directly or via health insurance providers.I work with wide range of common issues and conditions. These include typical mental health problems you will be familiar with like anxiety and depression, and some that are more specialised like helping people with longer-term issues like personality disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). I also help people work through a broad range of personal challenges including personal identity problems, sexuality and relationship problems, trauma, bereavement, eating disorders, low self-esteem, stress-management and attachment difficulties.
