If your instincts tell you that the world is full of wonder and good people, but that version of reality just isn't making it through all the negative noise... then I'm here to tell you that you were absolutely right to hold out hope. There is an enormous wave of goodness and progress, well underway in the world, that almost no one is seeing enough of, yet. And the Goodness Exchange's articles and interviews (free to the world) can put a spring in your step again. My team and I have been curating the internet for remarkable insights and innovations going uncelebrated for over a decade, and I speak to people around the world about a "Conspiracy of Goodness" and the growing "Gratitude Economy", both happening right now. Why positive journalism, public speaking and podcast hosting, after being a dentist for 25 years?Well, I grew up in a family where being 'kinder than you need to be" was the goal in daily life. Mom was a nurse, and Dad was a small-town doctor and surgeon who deeply cared for others from birth to death. He was a servant to humanity: knowing every patient's story, their families, their trials, and their celebrations.Growing up in that "service to others' mindset, my husband and I (childhood sweethearts) both became dentists and built a practice that remains devoted to my father's example: keeping the humanity in healthcare by building connection and finding something to celebrate with every patient. In 2009-2012, we started to see our patients' worldview and hope in the future going dark. The negative noise in our media was starting to drive the light right out of otherwise cheerful people and I kept saying "someone's got to do something about this!" And in 2013, a significant event turned that someone into me. My experience as a global traveler told me that even in bleak places... beauty, generosity and ingenuity was abundant. And I realized that most people would never see that version of the world on the news or social media. So, one decade ago, I created a place on the web - with no ads or politics - (Goodness-Exchange.com), where people could find instant access to content of all kinds, that celebrates what's RIGHT with the world. It’s the place for people who want less fear and more joy.I invite you to join others like yourself from around the globe on the Goodness Exchange journey to help the voices of all the innovative, thoughtful and inspiring people rise above the negative noise. No one with good intentions and good ideas needs to feel alone again. Founder: The Goodness Exchange | Known As “Dr. Lynda” | Gratitude Economy | 4 Shifts OnlineGoodness Exchange Nov 2013 - PresentSt. Albans, Vt, UsI created the Goodness Exchange to be our place on the Internet where good people can find articles, podcasts, events, and each other, in a private social media community – all brought together to expand an enormous wave of goodness and progress, well underway in the world, that almost no one knows about, yet. (But that is just about to change!)Once enough people know about the existing goodness, then we can re-imagine our shared future, standing on our strengths, rather than constantly expanding our weaknesses.I know the #1 institutional gap on the Internet is Trust, so everything we do has to reflect trustworthiness. We do that by leaving out politics and ads and choosing only impeccable sources in our research and content choices.Experience tells me there is a "Conspiracy of Goodness" in our times and a new era is ready to open. We can do that together. The goal of the Goodness Exchange is to energize everyday people who have good intentions and good ideas to help increase the wave of goodness around the globe. There are four simple shifts we can each do while on the internet that will fundamentally change what rises to the top in our feeds:1 ) PAUSE before you click on anything. Your click is a vote. And your Algorithms will bring you more of what you last clicked on; even if it’s leaving you angry, fearful or sad. 2) IGNORE MORE: never click out of anger, boredom, or morbid curiosity. Ask yourself “Do I need more of this in my feed?”3) SEEK SIGNS OF GOODNESS AND PROGRESS: click on the positive and helpful. Let the algorithms start feeding you the good stuff4) SHARE SIGNS OF GOODNESS AND PROGRESS: content creators will amplify what we share. -

SpeakerGoodness Exchange Jan 2014 - PresentSt. Albans, Vt, UsI teach attendees how to celebrate their potential and the wave of goodness happening in the world.Every attendee is given guidance on how to start seeing the good around them and shift the negative chaos out of their online lives. I give them the gift of welcoming a positive outlook into their lives, so they can thrive in their personal and professional lives. What better time could there be to help your organization, board of directors, clients, or key circles of contacts discover the rest of the story about the world and each other!?Through my writing and public appearances, I am restoring hope for the future and teaching groups and individuals how to celebrate their potential. Experience tells me that what we have in common is far more important and interesting than our differences. The organizations who champion that message will thrive. *Note: Dr. Lynda has a professional recording studio in her home to accommodate the current social distancing climate.SIGNATURE TOPICS:The Growing Gratitude EconomyThe Power of the PauseExposing the Conspiracy of GoodnessThe Innovator’s Recipe -
DentistFiddlehead Family Dentistry Aug 1988 - PresentMy husband and I have been practicing dentistry together in northern Vermont for over 25 years. We were early masters (2003) of using computers, and early 3D printing, to restore teeth, but our primary goal has been to protect the old-school, wonder of the doctor/patient relationship. If you ask us what we do, we won't say we fix teeth. We'll say we are keeping the humanity in healthcare.
