Adrian is a med tech entrepreneur and physician with a passion for intersecting his clinical experience with the med tech startup world to produce innovative solutions to real world problems. For the last couple of years, he has developed health related mobile apps as well as connected mobile health devices and has found a deep understanding for what truly drives innovation. Deconstructing problems and finding solutions is what drives Adrian to achieve his goals, in the hospital, as well as in his role as the CEO of SmartMedics. In his early years in medical school, Adrian introduced 16 research groups in clinical fields for the English Program. His research led him to implement the first course in Poland on telemedicine into the medical curriculum at Poznan University of Medical Sciences. At SmartMedics he leads a team of physicians, engineers and data scientists to create a low-cost multi-lead ECG electrode patch and coin-sized hardware module with a dedicated mobile app. The intention is to decrease the burden of patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases with an app dedicated for cardiac tele-rehabilitation as well as ongoing machine learning algorithm development to detect heart attacks.
