In my role as CEO of Piedmont Preferred Women's Healthcare , I exercised a calculated and methodicalapproach to problem solving. I am independently motivated, yet I appreciate team efforts and collaborate productively within groups. Additionally, I am knowledgeable in rural health care delivery and have an MPHwith a focus on maternal child health. I have worked with high level government officials in Virginia including our former Governor to craft a response to the rising African-American maternal mortality.Specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as a strong interest in Urogynecology, I received my undergraduate and medical degree from Yale University and completed a Masters in Public Health at Harvard University. I have developed a successful OB/GYN practice in southwest Virginia over the past 15 years and have spent the last 20+ years as an OB/GYN, helping to deliver over 3,000 happy and healthy babies. I believe that every woman deserves the best in life, including gynecological care. When not at my practice, I love spending time with my family and embracing the memories we make together. After working years clinically, I am seeking anew challenge and desire to use my skills to help shape policy and health outcomes within the United States.
