It publishes original research, applied, and educational articles in all areas of surgery. The journal is published frequency in both print and online versions, and the online version is free access and download.As a leading international journal, CSS is devoted to promoting a high standard scholarship which supports Surgery.

- Jean Verdier University Hospital is a referral center for Metabolic & Obesity Surgery in the Paris area and was also nominated in 2014 as a referral center for Abdominal Wall Hernia Repair in the adults. - Avicenne University Hospital is a referral center for oncologic digestive surgery (colorectal, gastric and pancreatic cancer). Department of Emergency Medicine

As a Research Fellow in the Division of Trauma, Emergency Surgery and Surgical Critical Care at MGH, I gained a rich and extensive research experience working on clinical and basic science projects. My responsibilities consisted on designing, conducting and coordinating clinical studies. This included writing of study protocols, informed consents and IRB applications; creating data collection form; working on statistical analysis and writing/editing abstracts and manuscripts. I functioned as a study coordinator on two randomized, double blind clinical trials. I was intimately involved with two large federally funded basic science projects, including an NIH grant, as well as 3 other large animal protocols. Throughout my research fellowship I was able to participate in the educational activities of the Division and observed trauma clinical rounds, operations, conferences and meetings. My work has resulted in several publications and presentations, as well as a book chapter.
