About Mamdooh Abdelmottlep (Ph.D)(Sjd)
Prof. Abdelmottlep obtained a PhD degree in Police Sciences and Law Enforcement in 1991 and a Professorate Degree in Administration of Police Sciences and Law Enforcement in 2007. He served in police positions in Egypt for 19 years and in advisory positions in the field of police, security, and law enforcement in Qatar for 7 years, the UAE for 18 years and the USA for 6 years. He has participated in over 185 seminars, workshops, and conferences. He has worked as lecturer, trainer, professor and researcher in Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, Italy, the United States and Japan in the specialties of police management, criminal justice, security management, terrorism, police, and law. In addition, he is a registered and licensed lawyer before the Court of Cassation and the Supreme Administrative Court in Egypt. He is also a foreign affairs attorney registered in Florida State, USA. Currently, he works as a professor in police administration and law enforcement, and is a consultant to Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He established the International Police Sciences Association (IPSA), IPSA works to achieve excellence and high quality in police work worldwide through three major programs: 1) Managing security knowledge. 2) Sharing knowledge and experiences. 3) Developing police performance by granting ISO certificates to distinguished security institutions and through the World Internal Security and Police Index (WISPI). www.ipsa-police.org . Prof. Abdelmottlep is considered to be one of the leading Arab researchers in police sciences. He has published more than 30 books and more than 120 peer-reviewed academic research papers He has published a proposal for the development of the structure of police education on an international scale. This proposal aims to create a police education system at university level that is implemented in a number of police colleges in different areas of security. Prof. Abdelmottlep has received many local and regional awards; the Medal of Occupational Excellence and the medal of Merit and Excellence received from HRH the Governor of Sharjah, UAE in 2015, He also received the International Award (CRIMINOLOGIA.IT) of the United Nations for his efforts in the development of police sciences and his own vision for the restructuring of Arab police bodies in terms of training, education, systems of organizational structure, academic and occupational specialization, and re-distribution of security and safety responsibilities between police agencies and the private sector.
