As a motivated postgraduate with a passion for communicating science I have published many articles, scientific papers and book chapters. This enabled me to develop excellent writing and communication skills; I used these to establish myself as a freelance science writer and consultant. My areas of expertise are cellular and developmental biology, applied to melanoma and drug discovery. These resulted from an extensive and successful research based career. I also have experience in industrial collaborations and proven abilities to plan and execute multiple projects. I am always keen to promote and be involved in informing about exciting scientific discoveries.Through a research career and experience as a science writer I have developed extensive skills in in-depth literature searching, editing, proof reading, report/article and writing different media formats including Facebook, Blogs and Twitter.I am especially adept at understanding complex topics and clearly communicating them for different audiences, general public or scientists/healthcare professionals, with accuracy and attention to detail. As a scientist I attended numerous conferences, including international, given both poster presentations and talks.
