Conducted pre-clinical research on primary immunodeficiency diseases. Focused on X-linked diseases Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome and XLA. Researched the effect of co-stimulation on Common Variable Immune Deficiency and Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome Patients' T and B-lymphocytes using micro-array technology.

Involved in determining the role of transforming growth factor beta in limb patterning and muscle development by in ovo infection of avian embryos with retroviruses containing dominant negative TGFBeta Receptor cDNA inserts. Set up, managed, and trained in use of retroviral microinjection and embryo histology labs. Responsible for hiring, training, and supervising of lab assistants. Tracked laboratory orders and inventory.

Analyzed effect of dominant negative FGF receptor expression on avian muscle development in ovo. Used a PCR based differential display to identify genes up-regulated in skeletal muscle by fibroblast growth factor (FGF). Used RT-PCR to compare FGF-1 through FGF-9 expression in differentiating and proliferating MM14 skeletal muscle cells. Managerial responsibilities as above.

Researched isolation techniques for neural crest cells and examined the effect of retinoic acid and its analogs on neural crest cell and limb development.
