• Manages the preparation, development, and submission of grant applications and creates a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences key milestones, deadlines and the activities needed to successfully complete the grant applications• Facilitates grant post-award process and monitors post-award grant compliance• Prepares and writes comprehensive grant narratives and ensures content is in alignment with the agency’s Community Assessment, Self-Assessment, and Strategic Plan• Conducts research and trend analysis on information to include in the grants• Audits grant plans to ensure compliance with stated objectives and reports to the Executive Leadership Team, Board of Directors, and Policy Council• Identifies risks and information gaps associated with the award and/or project implementation• Maintains proficient knowledge of organization’s history and programs and Head Start Performance Standards, as well as trends in Early Learning• Develops the Training and Technical Assistance plan in conjunction with the grant development activities • Ensures smooth processes to drive cross-team collaborations• Researches new funding and business development opportunities on a private, local, state and federal level• Leads, organizes, manages, and plans special projects as determined by the Executive Director, including the Annual Reports and the Community Assessment• Coordinates the integration of multiple projects into an agency project plan and ensures connectivity and coordination across agency projects
