Awarded a Phd in Sport and Exercise Physiology at Heriot Watt University, in Edinburgh, having completed an MSc at the University of Abertay Dundee. During this time I studied a wide range of sport related topics, ranging from sports policies and the social aspects of sport to more science based topic areas such as physiology, biomechanics and psychology. I have experience working in youth football at all levels. Having previously worked as the head of academy football science and medicine at a Scottish Premiership club, i now work as a Lecturer in Sports Performance. I am also involved with Scotland’s youth national football squads.

The projects would run in deprived areas in an attempt to provide disadvantaged youths with a vehicle for directing their focus and energy towards something worthwhile - sport. The post also provided me with experience in working with children who suffer from severe mental and physical disabilities.
