Dr. Manoj Kumar Mishra M.Tech., Ph.D. (IIT-Delhi), in Atmospheric Sciences has more than 20 years’ experience in the field of Atmospheric Environment. His experience includes both in his academic development as a scientific discipline and in consulting services in the field of environment. Research and professional experience include mathematical modelling work for Air Quality, Noise & Vibration, Climate Change, Odour and Quantitative Risk Assessment. He has been carrying out modelling work for diversified nature of projects viz; Power plants, Industrial, Mining and Infrastructure projects including surface and air transports. Professional experience also includes emission estimation of Green House Gases (GHGs) due to various potential sources, Shadow Flicker Impact Assessment Study for wind turbines and Turbine Blade Throw study. He is well-versed in executing environmental and climate models. He is well versed in Air Quality Models (viz; CFD, CALPUFF, OCD, AERMOD, ISC, CALINE, EDMS, CMB) , Emission Models (viz; DNDC, LandGEM, TANK etc), Noise & Vibration Models (viz; WindPro, INM, SoundPlan, dBForesight, Dhawani, TNM, TNV, FRA, PIP) and Risk Assessment Models (ALOHA,) ,Dr. Mishra has also developed analytical Coastal Dispersion Model (CDM) and Micrometeorological models to study the surface layer meteorological parameters for air quality assessment in the coastal environment. An extensive sea-land breeze study was also carried out with the help of his own developed Sea-Land-Breeze (SLB) model. He has worked on US Weather Generator (WGEN) model for climate change study under Indian meteorological condition. He represented IIT-Delhi in Coastal Atmospheric Boundary Layer (CABL) field experiment Campaign at Kalpakkam (Tamil Nadu, India) in collaboration with the National & International Research Organizations. Dr. Mishra has been providing consultancy services to private (National & International) and government undertaking organizations including Asian Development Bank (ADB), World Bank (WB/IFC), and GIZ funded projects.Dr. Mishra is also recognized as QCI-NABET approved Functional Area Expert (FAE) for Air Pollution Monitoring, Prevention & Control (AP), Meteorology, Air Quality Modelling & Prediction (AQ) and Noise & Vibration. He has successfully supervised B. Tech. & M. Tech. students for their dissertation work based on Atmospheric Dispersion Modelling and invited to participate National & International Symposia/workshops to share his expertise and knowledge.
