Throughout my academic career I was involved, and for some projects led, in research and activities related to 14 policy areas and industry/sector development. For two decades, I spent significant time training, coaching, and mentoring more than two thousand novice and nascent entrepreneurs. I believe in walking the talk and have founded and grown several technology and service-oriented ventures. In addition, I sat in the Board of Directors and Advisory Boards of several family and non-family organizations.I won several awards and recognitions nationally and internationally. Notably, in October 2018, I became the first recipient of the Waesche Family Scholarship, which led to the attainment of the Certificate in Family Wealth Advising from the Family Firm Institute in the United States. In November 2018, I was recognised as the Grand Winner–Outstanding Entrepreneurship Mentor, Ministry of Education Entrepreneurial Awards (MEA). In 2019, I led in the writing of a book titled, ‘Entrepreneurial Leaders: Shaping the Malaysian Entrepreneurship Ecosystem’, thereby, establishing myself as a subject matter expert in entrepreneurial leadership, and to add further to my Ph.D. study and work on the organizational antecedents of academic entrepreneurship that result in research commercialization and technology transfer.According to AD Scientific Index, as at December 2022, at UNIRAZAK, I was ranked #1 in the subject field of Business Administration (Entrepreneurship, Family Business, Strategy) and ranked #4 in the subject field of Business & Management.
