Working as an Assistant Professor is a hybrid role which involves teaching, administration and working at different community clinics as a Consultant Family Physician. I am currently the clerkship director for Senior Family Medicine clerkship. As a part of this role I am responsible for liaising with different clinic heads for student placement in the community, training preceptors, conducting workshops, organising inductions during clerkship , liaising with other departmental faculty members , presenting and discussing the marks at the clerkship directors meeting and organizing remediation . I am involved in teaching postgraduate residents and conducting workshops and examination. . Alongside I examine candidates for oral examination of Consultant Family medicine Health Authority Abu Dhabi. I do prepare MCQ for several examinations which includes licensing examination. I am also an OSCE examiner for different levels of examinations conducted at the United Arab Emirates University.

I do work at family medicine clinics seeing both walk in and patients with complex chronic needs. Alongside I also teach residents and medical students who shadow me during my clinical activity. Innovated handbook for tutors and students .Conducted successful workshops. This helped immensely to stream line and educate effectively both the preceptors and tutors. This helped to decrease the work load, increase integration and efficiency of quality of education delivered to the students.Effectively managed to place all medical students in the community with active negotiating with the clinic directors though there were increased number of students this year Instrumental in creating policies and procedures for effectively running the clerkship. This helped to reduce disputes and problems which were encounter in previous clerkships Created an Inhouse MCQ exam by liaising with all the faulty members, heading the MCQ vetting session to provide an Inhouse MCQ exam which is in line with NBME, USA examinationI work in London as a consultant Family physician in West London Out of Hours and in other GP practices. I work as a clinical shift lead while working in West London Out of Hours service with focus on improving patient care and simultaneously delivering quality services.

I was responsible for handling the clinical practice for smooth and efficient operation. My role as a clinical lead included providing full time clinical service, being on call ,deal with patient complaints, complex medical advice to practitioners. I was also supervising and conducting f appraisal and education for clinical and administrative staff. I was the GP lead responsible for teaching medical students, coordinating with external agencies and responsible for continuous quality improvement of total clinical services while adhering to through implementation of evidence based polices and guidelines. As my clinical practice was close to Heathrow airport I was also doing General practice related occupational health assessments and advise related to sickness, and advise employees in regards to sickness related to work issuesAcheivements Established smoking cessation, anticoagulation clinic, drug misuse clinic by identifying patients’ needs. Achieved number one status for number of patients quitting smoking in the borough through efficient team work Instrumental in making practice as a King’s Medical college London community training practice Involved in creating multiple policies and procedures for efficient running of clinical practice and for continuous improvement of care of the patients.Conduct regular audits to improve care delivery through continuous improvement. Full achievement of Quality outcome frame works successively for 3 years Communication with medicine management committee, Community drug and alcohol team and other external consortium providers to provide highest quality of service.Conducting appraisals, identifying and setting up goals to motivate them to progress further during appraisal meeting with staff.

As a full time family physician working both in day to day care and out of hour’s emergency service I was involved with improving quality of care of the patients by reviewing the audits. I was representing and attending meetings related to clinical care and quality improvement .I was the clinical lead for child health and also for issues related to substance misuse. I was also collaborating with the practice manager and other physicians to develop policies and guidelines related to clinical care.

This was an interesting postgraduate rotation rotating between Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics, Gynaecology and General Practice .During this specialist training I was involved in day to day care of the patient , participating in teaching medical students.

I did my postgraduate training in paediatrics at Royal London Hospital , East London for 30 months The specialist training involved training in General Paediatrics, Paediatric Emergency medicine, Neonatology , Paediatric Surgery ,Community Paediatrics and Paediatric Haematology.
