- Develop a portfolio of and relate potential investors to investment opportunities- Support strategic sectors' (Financial Services, Business Professional, and Food & Drink) Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to the UK from Switzerland & Liechtenstein; - Develop relationships with senior decision makers of major companies (e.g., UBS, Swiss Re, Credit Suisse, Bell, Nestlé, etc.);- Scout and support SME with investment ambitions for the UK and support their initiatives to successfully land and build investment in the UK;- Advise Her Majesty’s Ambassador and relevant Ministers on company visits (briefings, discussions; meetings, etc.)- Independently engage with companies, understand their strategic interests and priorities and shape customised business propositions for their operations in the UK (FDI);- Work closely with Whitehall to ensure investors receive the best possible advice and support from across Government (e.g. HMT, HMRC, DEFRA, PRC/FCA, local authorities);- Identify, engage and actively collaborate with multipliers (consultancies, law firms, associations) and partners to leverage outcomes;- Strategically define the priorities with the team to develop a strong pipeline of projects;- Actively promote the UK at events;- Deputise for Head of Investment.
