Izmir-Aydin Motorway and Izmir Ring Road Project, Four Tunnel Construction (2 km)Reported to Tunnel Manager, Managed more than 300 workers and 5 subcontractor Engineers(Tunnel Construction (2 km) for Izmir Ring Road) The Karşıyaka tunnels form a key section of the Izmir ring road project connecting Bornova to Karsşıyaka in Western Turkey, and are located under the Yamanlar Mountain in the northern part of city of Izmir being part of the Izmir ring road and Aydın – Izmir motorway. The two twin-bore tunnels were excavated in under two years using the New Austrian Tunnelling Method (NATM) for excavation and support work.
