Dr. Rolle is a Neurosurgery Resident at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. An ER doctor, Dr. Rolle is currently on the front lines in the fight against COVID-19, trading in his typical operating room setting to help treat COVID-19 patients. A former NFL player, Dr. Rolle's dedication, determination, preparedness, and adaptability forged on the football field have primed him to successfully transition from a professional football career to a career in medicine. An All-American at Florida State University, Dr. Rolle postponed his NFL career to complete a Rhodes Scholarship at Oxford University, where he earned a master's degree in medical anthropology. He went on to play for the Tennessee Titans and Pittsburgh Steelers, before walking away from football and returning to Florida State University's School of Medicine to complete his medical degree in 2017.In addition to his work as a neurosurgeon, Dr. Rolle is the chairman and founder of the Myron L. Rolle Foundation - a nonprofit organization dedicated to the support of global health, wellness, educational, and other charitable initiatives benefitting children and families in need. He also serves on the Knight Commission on Athletics and the Clinton Global Initiative, and is a co-creator of the Emerging Scholars Project for underrepresented college students applying for a Rhodes Scholarship.Dr. Rolle's sub-specialty neurosurgical interest is pediatric neurosurgery, while his primary research interests are traumatic global neurosurgery, trauma, endoscopy for hydrocephalus, and congenital spinal deformity.
