Responsible for establishing, fostering, cultivating, and maintaining bi-directional scientific communication with multiple external entities, to include external scientific and medical leaders, academic medical institutions, disease and patient societies, etc. The end goal is to act as a conduit for accurate and updated clinical, scientific and medical information between the external scientific community and the company in accordance with applicable legal, regulatory and ethical guidelines.

- Attend IRB meetings and actively participating in the review of research- Understand and apply the principles of the Belmont Report and the federalregulations related to the protection of human subjects- Provide timely written comments on research undergoing IRB review, whenrequired- Maintain a current knowledge of and assure compliance with relevantregulations, laws, and policies related to the protection of human subjects- Work with investigators to resolve matters relating to research approval andparticipating in educational efforts for investigators, research staff, and new IRBmembers- Participate in the discussion of issues affecting the human research protectionprogram and contributing to policy development, as appropriate- Review and approve research by expedited procedures, when designated bythe IRB Chair to perform this review.

Responsible for all aspects of the growth of the student body and works closely with the CEO, Chancellor, and Campus Director to continually develop and implement effective marketing plans for enrolling a wide variety of high quality applicants into WGU. Enhances the reputation and sustainability of WGU as a division of the Wright Foundation for Transformational Leadership, including lead generation, interviewing, enrolling, and matriculation of the right students into the Master’s, Doctoral, and Certificate programs. Ownership for the WGU brand identity and marketing initiatives.

Billions of dollars are spent each year on the U.S. workforce for learning and development but the question remains, how much of that is transferred as a Return on Investment? In my role as Director, I use my experience as a trained researcher and believer of the scientific method to identify methods that yield results in the corporate setting, particularly those that are deemed "Evidence-Based." Learning & Development is incredibly necessary but as the Association for Talent Development states "Is your organization using instructional methods and designs based on valid research evidence, or on opinion and precedence?" Therapeutic Area: Neuropsychiatry Demonstrated project management skills in responsibilities related to the study of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCR) (5-HT1A, 5-HT2A, 5-HT4, 6, and 7) in Autism Spectrum Disorder and Major Depressive Disorder (MDD).Accomplishments:•Gathered scientific intelligence from key opinion leaders at medical conferences to disseminate knowledge and gain insight into the latest clinical information.•Represented the University at numerous medical conferences, both locally and abroad. •Built and maintained collaborative relationships with key opinion leaders Worked in partnership with a team of neuroscientists, clinical research coordinators, and physicians to develop future precision medicine tools, such as biomarker assays, for possible clinical use in MDD and Autism. •Successfully developed a new way of studying Autism Spectrum Disorder by utilizing a novel (Epstein Barr Virus) EBV-transformed lymphocyte model system, relevant to diagnostic and treatment determination in clinic. Therapeutic Areas: Neuropsychiatry/Neurobiology/Women’s Health Accomplishments:•Demonstrated self-motivation and agency in the coordination of neurobiological and women’s health projects related to mood disorders and provided scientific support to the larger team.•Collaborated with a team of scientists, physicians, and post-doctoral fellows to investigate the identified relationship between cardiovascular health and affective disorders (depression and anxiety), areas known to disproportionately affect women.•Contributed to the creation and dissemination of neurobiological and neuropsychiatric content including the slide decks and other scientific exchange materials for conferences. (Collectively ~7 Abstracts and 20 oral poster/speaker presentations)•Findings elucidated potential areas for future biomarker research for use with patients struggling from Major Depressive Disorder in the clinical setting.
