Reporting to the Commercial Manager, I am heavily involved in many aspects of the Australian business, from developing and delivering new business opportunities, to managing client-facing interactions, to driving continuous improvement initiatives. Typical activities include: • Contract & client management: Commercial lead on the South Hedland Asset Team, but heavily involved in client-facing interactions for all of TEA’s major assets, which includes negotiating commercial, technical & operational issues, chairing client meetings & managing communication. • Project management: Multitude of projects across departments, both internal and external, including an end-to-end billing system for South Hedland Power Station, from scoping metering requirements during construction, to data mapping, creating billing calculations (incl. integration of thermal engineering models), auditable metrology tools and procedures (incl. training and rolling out to Ops), through to managing IT to deliver an automated billing system. • Complex analysis & problem solving: Responsible for creating and/or guiding models to drive and/or support key business decisions. Manage the Senior Technical Analyst, the foremost analyst for TEA.• Forecasting, budgeting & invoicing: Both directly and indirectly responsible for delivering annual budgets for various assets across the Australian business and also accountable for month-to-month invoices for TEA’s major contracts.• Wholesale Energy Market interactions. Key member of team that manages WEM trading, capacity cycles, and market compliance, including the processes, tools & decisions involved. • Process improvement, procedure development & implementation: Tool/process development to optimise efficiency across assets, reduce workload, improve quality & governance to maintain integrity.• Various other core functions, such as ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies like the Economic Regulation Authority (ERA) and Clean Energy Regulator (CER).

• Established emergency workshop to overhaul nuclear station's (2 x 660 MWe) steam turbine control gear with only 5 days’ notice and without any preparation in place: - Set up workshop for 5 stop valves, 5 governor valves, stub shaft, and trip block when factory exceeded capacity at peak season. - Organised working area, welfare facilities, tooling, engineering documents, drawings, spares, labour, and associated Health & Safety documentation within the notice period. - ‘Hands-on’ supervision of eight fitters for the strip, refurbishment, rebuild, and testing of control gear. - Tracked costs and devised an optimised process for setting up such a workshop in the future. - Returned control gear and corresponding quality documentation on schedule within outage shutdown.• Project lead for process improvement initiative to introduce tablets to our field service sites. - Identified, arranged, and executed project trials on Alstom Thermal Services UK sites. - Liaised with clients and aligned internal departments; regularly presented progress back to the business. - Worked with international project team and drove development based on feedback. • Engineer – Isle of Grain CCGT power station (3 x 430 MWe). - Planning engineer: Maintained schedule and updated outage management team. - Commissioning Engineer: Calibrated equipment, tested auxiliary systems, and assisted during start-up. - Worked 49 days out of 51 day shutdown.• Engineer – Sizewell B nuclear power station (2 x 660 MWe turbogen set). - E, C, & I engineer: Calibrated and commissioned plant instrumentation. - Mechanical Commissioning Engineer: Tested steam turbine trip systems, auxiliary systems, and back-up systems – proficient in use of P&IDs and technical drawings. - 3 weeks on/1 weekend off (19/2) roster.• Secondary auditor for North Europe resource sharing project.• Developed and maintained Project Cost Control tool for project management.

Completed PhD in the field of mechanical engineering. Research title: "Investigation of biomass combustion in grate furnaces using CFD".Developed and validated CFD numerical models to predict solid fuel (biomass) combustion in grate type furnaces.
