Dr. Nelson N. Stone is Professor of Urology and Radiation Oncology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in NYC. He invented the real-time technique of prostate brachytherapy in 1990 and has trained more than 5000 physicians world-wide on how to perform it. In 1995 he started PROSEED, a turnkey radiation services company which he successfully sold to CR Bard in 1998. Dr.Stone has recently started 2 new companies, 3DBiopsy and Viomerse, Inc. 3DBiopsy, now known Triopsy, has designed a new biopsy system and software to better diagnose and treat prostate and other cancers. Viomerse sells 3D organ systems designed to improve surgical training for resident doctors and for newly introduced medical devices. It’s recently introduced extended reality brings together physicians who are remote to each other.
