As the Director of Cutaneous Oncology for the Department of Dermatology of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, I direct and manage the multidisciplinary skin cancer clinic & tumor board and, serve as one of the senior Mohs surgeons. I am tasked to develop the academic department’s skin cancer outreach program to ensure high quality care in underserved areas both in the New England area and the rest of the United States.

I am the founder of the consulting company focused on healthcare quality, informatics/product development, medical legal reviews, and insurance reviews.

I serve as the President and Co-Founder of PathFinderEx. This non-profit organization developed out of seeing the need to create a scenario-based training platform for multi-agency response to disasters. We are committed to providing training and education in disaster preparedness and response skills through both in-person and online venues for the instruction of students, citizens, government representatives, first responders, healthcare professionals and volunteers, and those who are members of organizations, civilian and government agencies, community businesses, and other qualifying partners.

As the founder of this private practice clinic, I established this clinic to provide comprehensive dermatologic care for adult and pediatric patients in the Central & Eastern Oregon region with a focus on prevention. The intent is to create a clinic system that interconnects providers, patients, and the communities to work together to create sustainable healthy communities through data collaboration, streamline care processes, and performance measurement.

This is a rural outreach clinic that is now part of the Dermatology Health Specialists system focused on caring for underserved patients with dermatologic disease. In this position, I established the first dermatology clinic and Mohs surgical unit in the area within a 120-mile radius.

In this position, I served as the Academic Program Manager for the US Air Force's Center for Strategic Deterrence Studies - a Center that supports the Air Force Strategic Master Plan’s strategic vector to “Provide Effective 21st-Century Deterrence" for nuclear, biological, and chemical warfare. As the Program Manager, I focused on establishing collaborative academic and operational partnerships with military and civilian agencies that share that have similar missions. In addition, I assisted in driving risk analysis and mitigation strategies for disaster events.

This is a part-time position where cared for adult and pediatric patients with dermatologic medical and surgical disease as a Dermatologist and Mohs Surgeon in the greater New England region.

I am an adjunct faculty member in the Institute for Health Care Delivery Sciences. My focus is on teaching graduate level programs on Performance Measurement & Population Science Studies.

In this position, I served as the Commander of the State of Oregon's Air National Guard's mass casualty medical response team. My focus was on rebuilding the unit. Through my three years of command, I revamped the response infrastructure and expanded the disaster response training into a larger multi-agency training platform to streamline future civilian/military response in the State of Oregon.

As the Commander of the 142d Medical Group's Aerospace Medicine Squadron, in addition to overseeing the clinic operations, my primary role was to restructure the clinic to mirror the USAF active duty clinics. I led the establishment of the "Guard Medical Unit" concept, a clinic infrastructure designed to streamline care and collaboration with active duty clinics.

In this position, I led a team of highly skilled dermatologists in promoting quality and safety within the specialty of dermatology. My primary accomplishment in this position is the development of a Dermatology focused national virtual Quality Innovation Center.

In this part-time position, I served as a Mohs Surgeon at the Portland VA, and as a Melanoma Specialist for OHSU. In addition to my clinical and education responsibilities, my primary focus was on developing an outreach melanoma program to improve access to care for at risk patient populations and to facilitate community clinicians that care for melanoma patients through the establishment of a virtual melanoma tumor board.

In this position, I served as a Dermatologist, Melanoma Specialists, and Mohs Surgeon caring for the multi-specialty medical group’s patient population. I also served as an EPIC Clinician Builder for the clinic.

I led the establishment of the ACMS's National Registry and Outcomes Committee and developed the platform to build a national registry that tracks the data of Mohs Surgeons to improve the care for patients with skin cancer.

In this position, I led the development of the AAD's National Performance Measurement System. My primary tasks were to establish the national performance measurement reporting data registry and to develop the process in which the AAD creates performance measures.

In this position, I served as the Dermatology Clinic Chief and as a Mohs Surgeon & Melanoma Specialist for Keesler Medical Center and the Biloxi VA. I also was on the teaching faculty for Tulane University's Dermatology Residency Training Program. In addition. I was the Director of the US Air Force's Dermatology Project ECHO Virtual Care Pilot Program.

In this position, I served as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology on the residency teaching faculty as a Dermatologist, Melanoma Specialists, and Mohs Surgeon focused on caring for the region’s high-risk skin cancer patient population.

In this adjunct position, I served as a Dermatology Faculty Member for graduate medical training and as an academic mentor military health profession trainees.

I served as a General Dermatologist and Faculty Member in the Air Force's Dermatology Residency Training Program. My primary role was to manage the academic training curriculum. I also served on the hospital's mass casualty medical response team as a triage officer.

In this role, I served as a U-2 Reconnaissance Flight Surgeon where I functioned as an Aerospace Medicine Specialist and Primary Care Physician for the Pilots and Aircrews. I was also in charge of the medical mass casualty medical response team.
