Operations Manager of KDNA for Medical Supplies & Therapeutic Services .

This is a specialized hospital of pediatric surgery , performing nearly full range of surgeries ( trauma , GI surgeries , Genitourinary surgeries .. ) for pediatric age group . as a surgical resident my roles included :- Preparing the patients for operations .- Performing minor surgeries .- Assisting the seniors during major surgeries .- following up patients postoperatively .

Resident doctor in charge of the Emergency Department dealing with all kinds of emergencies and accidents ( ranging from simple cases to life threatening ) , facing significantly stressful situations that requires proficiency , discipline and concentration alone with the best medical knowledge . Effective management of the staff to maintain the synergy and collaboration so that we can all deliver our best medical practice as a competent emergency department team .

Exploring the venture of occupying the position of on-site doctor , for a major drilling company at a giant oil field " RUMAILA" at south of Iraq , dealing with multinational personal and different cultural backgrounds . some of my duties were :a ) Running of well equipped medical clinic providing essential health care for both outpatient cases as well as the dangerous medical and surgical emergencies , especially work accidents and work related illnesses .b ) Performing a thorough medical assessment for new employee and preparing the requested medical reports .c ) Reaching the injured persons at accident sites implementing first aids and ensure the proper transfer to the central medical unit .d ) Supervision & implementation of the Medical Emergency Response Plan ( MERP ) .e ) Supervising the paramedics who are working in the rigs ( currently 12 ) that run by the company .

The first , the highly demanding and the most challenging job so far , in the central , busy and fast-paced hospital of Basra city..the diversity of cases , the large and sometimes overwhelming number of patients and the variety of specialties included all have created a dynamic and tough work environment where no substitutes for hard working , fast learning , deep discipline and flexible adaptation .The main roles that I have practiced :a ) Emergency Department resident doctor .b ) Taking care of patients in medical and surgical wards .c ) CCU unit resident doctor .d ) ICU unit resident doctor .e ) Kidney Dialysis unit resident doctor .Practical Procedures -------------------------------- I gained sound competency performing essential practical procedures including but not limited to : • Apply a cervical collar, immobilize using a long spine board head blocks and spider harness .• Ventilate using BVM (Bag-Valve-Mask) .• Surgical cricothyroidotomy.• Defibrillation using the DC shock devise during cardiac arrhythmia.• Intravenous cannulation .• Wound toilet and suturing .• Primary fixation of fractures .• Insertion of chest tube , Insertion of Foley's catheter .• Incision and drainage of abscesses .• Supra-pubic catheterization .• Diagnostic peritoneal lavage .• ECG record and interpretation
