As a Senior Technical Support Specialist I am a product expert in the applications I support, those being Community Wide Scheduling, Authorization and Referral Management, Insurance Verification, Surgical Services, and Ambulatory Front Office. Working in the Update Group I see the latest features provided in these applications that customers get with these updates which also means I see the new issues with these features first. These issues are often technical and require detailed review to figure out what is occurring. This requires me to be fast thinking and use my knowledge of how the applications work to figure out where issues are occurring to determine the best course of action to fix the issues as soon as possible. We work with strict deadlines to get issues corrected in time for hospital update updates for actual patient and staff use. This also requires me to be able to prioritize issues correctly to ensure the highest priority issues are being reviewed. I accomplish this by escalating these issues and code fixes to proper groups so the issue is corrected ahead of the customer’s update. Being skilled within these applications and working closely with my customers I have learned typical workflow and routines that take place with Administration, Surgical Units, and Ambulatory Clinics within Healthcare. Encountering actual patient data has also given me knowledge on HIPAA and best practices when working with patient’s data and sensitive information.

As Assistant Store Manager for Wal-Mart I was responsible for Day to Day Operation of the store and management of more than 300 associates. I assisted daily with sales of general merchandise, customer service, and concerns in the store. I was also responsible for responding to business planning emails that lay out plans for merchandising through the month to ensure we have the right products in the right places to meet sales and profit goals. Monthly our whole team reviewed Profits and Loss reports to see where our opportunity was and figure out ways to improve our sales and profit by watching expenses and creating in store sales plans.
