Hefer Olive Oil Hefer Olive Oil is produced from high quality olives that are growing in the fertile soil of Emek Hefer, located in the Mediterranean coastal plain of Israel.The oil is produced from a combination of two olive species: The Barne'a is a local Israeli olive that originally harvested in the Sinai peninsula of Egypt. The Phisholin is a high quality specie, originated from France. The particular combination of the two, creates a sharp favored oil with a medium bitterness that does not dominated the meal with a leafy, fruity flavor. It is a wonderful addition to the seasoning of fresh vegetable salads as well as for compound cooking. Hefer Olive Oil is classified as an "Extra Virgin" Olive Oil. In laboratory tests,it has consistently proved exceptionally low acidity (less than 0.4%)The olive oil is extraction is done in a cold press which is necessary to preserve the nutritional and the health values: anti-oxidants, high levels of vitamin E and more.
