About Paula Drouin
Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, I began my career with the Canadian Armed Forces after studying humanities at Mount Allison University. I served17 years in the Canadian Armed Forces, with professional postings taking me to Kingston, Ontario; Gander, Newfoundland; Ottawa, Ontario; and San Antonio, Texas. After retiring from the military I began my second career with the Kingston Economic Development Corporation. After 9 years with the corporation and 7 years as the Executive Assistant to the CEO and Secretary to the Board of Directors I decided it was time for a new adventure. From September 2015 - March 2019 I enjoyed working at Queen's University in the Financial Services Department. In April 2019 I began a new chapter and joined the close-knit team at TurnerMoore LLP where I worked for 3 years as the Executive Administrative Assistant. I have volunteered with the Kingston Military Family Resource Centre where I was involved in the annual Garrison Ball auction to raise funds to support military families. I frequently volunteer with the Fort Henry Heights Skating Club, Kingston Skating Academy, Skate Ontario, and Skate Canada.
