Rotated through highly specialized surgical departments including:Paediatric SurgeryManagement of surgical conditions and emergencies, high care neonates and children under age 16. Assisted and performed minor operations on children including, but not limited to, lymph node excisions, exploratory laparotomies, inguinal hernia repairs, abscess drainages and orchidopexies.TraumaManagement of high care trauma patients in ward 377. First line responder for acute management and resuscitation of trauma emergencies at a Trauma 1 academic centre as well as assisting in various emergency operations such as exploratory laparotomies. Tasked with management of Doctor's call responsibilities in Trauma Casualty.Cardiothoracic SurgeryAdmission and management of cardiothoracic pre and post-operative patients as well as assisting in various operations including open lung biopsies, thoracotomies and open heart surgery.

Concluded my internship through all 4 month rotations including: Surgery, Trauma, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Anaesthesiology, Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine. Responsibilities included management of acute conditions, chronic conditions as well as minor operations and over 20 solo caesarian sections.
