Dr. Phil Garrison is the Director of Distance Education at Colorado Chinese Medicine University, where he is also a full-time faculty member. He has previously served as the Senior Director of the MAcCHM program and Distance Education at AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine (Austin, TX), Dean and Assistant Professor at the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (Seneca Falls, NY), taught Chinese herbal medicine in the master's program at Five Branches University (Santa Cruz, CA), and taught Chinese medical classics in the post-professional doctoral (DAOM) program at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (San Diego, CA).Dr. Garrison has published original research in professional academic journals, is a recognized scholar of the Huáng Dì Nèi Jīng (黃帝內經), and has been a guest lecturer at the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine (Fairfax, VA), Nazareth College (Rochester, NY), the University of Pittsburg (Pittsburg, PA), the Western Sydney University (Australia), and Wofford College (Spartanburg, SC).Dr. Garrison has worked in integrative healthcare practices in Central and Southern California, where he specialized in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. In addition, he has been an herbal consultant for K'an Herb Company, the Chief Science Officer at Immortality Alchemy, and served as the staff acupuncturist on the medical team at the O'Neill Coldwater classic.
