Extending the work I did while with the Asian Development Bank in Leadership Development and eLearning, I am now working independently with clients in Asia and North America. In the area of Leadership development, I conduct about a dozen different leadership development seminars in the U.S. and Asia that target “managers of managers.” I also conduct leadership assessments (emotional and social intelligence, leadership styles and competencies), leadership retreats, assessment & development centers, and coaching (virtual and face-to-face) to produce the behavior change required to improve leadership effectiveness. I can deliver these leadership development services as individual projects or integrated as a comprehensive leadership development outsourcing solution. In addition to the leadership seminars I currently conduct, I have developed more than 40 online courses for corporate clients and online universities. I have held faculty positions at Grand Canyon University, the American Graduate School of Business, the University of Missouri-Columbia, and was Dean of Business Programs at American Sentinel University.

Manila

In 2009 I joined the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Manila as an Advisor. My overall responsibility at ADB involved the re-alignment of the Human Resources function in line with ADB’s Strategy 2020 for reducing poverty in Asia. Within this general area of focus, I participated is several initiatives that produced a sharper focus on talent management, leadership development through the planned development of an HR Service Center, HR Business Partners, and an HR Programs and Policies group. Some of my specific achievement while working with ADB include: establishing ADB’s online learning and development program eLearn (www.myelearn.org) and creating more than a dozen online learning programs focused on management development, establishing an executive coaching program and directing eight executive coaches, and revising ADB’s Assessment and Development Centers for high-potential International Staff, and introducing (and becoming certified to use) a number of new assessment tools (Leadership Impact 360-Degree Survey, Life Styles Inventory 360-Degree Survey, MSCEIT Survey of Emotional Intelligence). I will retire from my role at ADB at the end of 2012.

I left American Sentinel University (ASU) as Dean of Business Program to join ADB in June 2009. I began working with ASU in 2005 as an adjunct faculty while I also conducted some consulting projects. While with ASU, I launched a new MBA program, as well as a graduate program that focused on Healthcare Management. In addition to managing and recruiting faculty, I directed the development of more than thirty online courses in Business and Healthcare, and taught the MBA Capstone Course, Strategic Management, Human Resource Management, and Change Management.

After completing my work with Compaq-Dawncom and leaving Beijing in 2000, I performed consulting work for clients in Asia (including Compaq and Compaq-Dawncom), wrote several ebooks and developing learning materials for online learning institutions like Aspen University and Ashford University and was an adjunct professor at several online universities. From 2000 to 2005, I taught a number of graduate courses including: Management, Human Resource Management, Change Management, Strategic Management, Marketing Management, and the MBA Capstone Course.

I left Andersen Consulting in July 1998 to join one of my clients in Beijing, who at my recommendation formed a joint venture company Compaq-Dawncom. I joined Compaq-Dawncom as their Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Development with the responsibility of creating the Compaq-Dawncom brand in China as well as directing all advertising and marketing programs.

Taipei, Taiwan

I joined Andersen Consulting in 1994 and was initially assigned to the Atlanta office. In 1995, I was promoted and transferred to Andersen's consulting office in Seoul, Korea. A year later, I moved to Taiwan and assumed responsibility for the Greater China Change Management Consulting Practice. I was the Managing Director of Change Management, Greater China, for Andersen Consulting (now called Accenture Consulting). I managed more than 50 consultants based in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Taipei, generating more than $4 million in annual revenues.

Greater Atlanta Area

From 1992 to 1994, I worked for Alexander & Alexander Consulting, initially to establish an Organizational Effectiveness consulting practice in Atlanta. Later, I was appointed National Practice Leader for Organizational Effectiveness consulting in Canada.

Phoenix, Arizona Area

From 1988 to 1992, I was a Principal with the Watson-Wyatt Company in Phoenix where I orchestrated the start-up of an organizational effectiveness consulting practice. I conducted a variety of human resource consulting assignments in the Mountain States Region, specializing in performance management, organizational development, and compensation.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

From 1982 to 1988, I founded and managed my own consulting firm in Dallas, Texas. Through this firm, I participated in several corporate turnaround projects in Tulsa, OK - most notably Telex Computer Products and Liberty Glass Company. In addition, he partnered with Sun Venture Capital Partners to conduct due diligence studies and turnaround proposals.

I began my consulting career with Ernst & Young as a Senior Consultant in 1977. Later I became a Manager in the Dallas Office and served as Practice Leader until 1982.
