Hello! I’m Dylan Phung, a marketing analytics analyst at MGM Resorts International and graduate of USC's Business of Cinematic Arts program! As an intern at Lionsgate, I loved supporting my team in adeptly crafting fan experiences with franchise merchandise, live events, video games, and Web3 content. At Riot Games, I loved furthering this experiential learning specifically in the consumer products sector with our direct-to-player and licensing arms to bring fan favorite game elements into players’ hands through hardlines and softlines. At Disney, I relished the opportunity to add marketing strategy to my repertoire in supporting massive experiential brand activations like our Star Wars takeover of the Empire State Building. In large part related to my background in academic research and eagerness to seek out topics of interest, I pride myself on my abilities to manage time well and condense complex concepts into functional understandings. Some of my proudest accomplishments are publishing research studies on topics like esports in academic journals including Gaming Law Review and International Gambling Studies. Being able to delve into untapped areas of inquiry, dissect the nuances of them, and garner empirical findings with actionable new outlooks strongly interests me for integrating into my career.
