Demonstrating knowledge and understanding in airway management, assessments of cardiac stability and intravenous access with lab, and specimen collection.Knowledge and understanding in orthopedic splinting procedures and wound care, and educating patients on proper care techniques associated with the injury.Other duties as an emergency room tech include: EKG's fluid maintenance and boluses, monitoring of patient vital signs, proper communication with nursing staff and physicians, and documentation of interventions performed.
