  • Hacettepe University
    Dr. Lecturer
    Hacettepe University Jun 2018 - Oct 2019
    Ankara, Turkey
I was engaged with teaching duties to undergraduate students. I worked as a visiting researcher at NIMS to continue my research on SmFe12-based materials between 04/2019-07/2019.
  • National Institute For Materials Science
    Postdoctoral Research Fellow
National Institute For Materials Science Jan 2017 - Mar 2018
    Tokyo, Japan
I enhanced the intrinsic magnetic properties of SmFe12-based compounds. The investigation is held in bulk and in the model-thin film. I introduce a new fast and cost-effective way to determine the intrinsic magnetic properties of hard magnetic compounds by aiming to accelerate the discovery of new magnets. This new micro-sampling technique includes the FIB-based lift-out process to a c-axis textured single grain and it provides direct measurement of magnetic properties of a heterogeneous sample. Keywords: Bulk (induction melting), Thin film (co-sputtering), microfabrication (FIB lift-out), microstructure (SEM, TEM, EBSD), crystallography (XRD), DSC, magnetic properties (PPMS, SQUID).
  • Trinity College Dublin
    Research Assistant
Trinity College Dublin Feb 2013 - Nov 2016
    Ireland
During my Ph.D., I seek a novel magnet for medium energy applications. I did an intensive collaboration with other universities and industrial partners in the frame of the European FP7 project. I was also responsible for budget management. My results are published in 6 peer-reviewed scientific journals. My Ph.D. projects are:Development of medium grade permanent magnet: ☆ La-Co-Fe and Y-Co-Fe based magnet (RCo5-based system)☆ Material genome: Invention of new magnetic materials based on first supercomputer-generated recipes (Heusler alloys) ☆ Phase diagram analyses on intermetallic Mn-GaKeywords: Bulk (arc melting), nanocrystalline (ball milling, mechanochemistry), magnetic properties (SQUID, PPMS, Mossbauer), microstructure (SEM) and crystallography (XRD). I got to experience bulk and powder metallurgy and the investigation of their I used origin pro and Full Prof programs for data analyses.
