About Amjad Qandil

I started my career, immediately after my graduation with a BSc Degree in Pharmacy, with a short stint as Medical Representative. Five years later, I finished my PhD in Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Design, followed by postdoctoral research for one year. I then joint the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST). During my tenure at JUST, I was promoted to an Assistant Professor, severed for three years an Assistant Dean and for five years as a Department Chair in addition to chairing and serving in many committees. After more than twelve years at JUST, I joint the College of Pharmacy at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS), Riyadh, KSA, and was appointed as the establishing Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Sciences Department. During my seven and a half years at KSAU-HS, I was promoted to a Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences and I have also chaired and participated in many college and university committees, most notable institutional and college curriculum committees and as the Chair of the Quality Assurance Unit in addition to serving as an Accreditation Academic Adviser to the Vice President, Development and Quality Management. Currently, I am a Commissioner and a Higher Education Expert at the Commission Academic Accreditation in the MOE, UAE.
