Jena Questen (that’s Questen like Strengthen), is a holistic, and aquatic, veterinarian and a professional animal trainer. She has experience with everything from horse racing, to yaks, dolphin training, and even emergency surgery on goldfish. DrQ as she is called, is not only a holistic vet, but also a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, fish expert and 2020 president of the World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association, and Professional Animal Trainer certified through the Dolphin Research Center. Fish medicine opened the door to becoming an animal trainer. This was a natural progression of her deep interest and understanding of animal behavior. She knew that every animal lover is seeking to achieve a deep magical bond with their pet, and good behavior is the key. Learning the science of training has fueled her passion and understanding of the human-animal bond, which she uses to help people improve all the relationships in their lives, humans too!At her holistic veterinary hospital in Conifer, Colorado they treat everything from dogs and cats to horses, reptiles, chickens, goats, donkeys, and fish. They bring the best that acupuncture, Chinese herbs, and alternative medicine brings to extend the life of pets. When not at the hospital, she uses her experiences to educate children and adults about safety and properly caring for all animals, especially horses, to help end the need for shelters and rescues, in the first place. With the rescued animals at her 501c3 nonprofit the Resqranch she teaches positive reinforcement training. Her mission is to end the need for shelters and rescues, in the first place, through the science of positive reinforcement horse training, and bring it into the mainstream. Her deepest wish is for every animal lover to have the best, healthiest, longest relationship they can possibly have with those animals in their care. She states “ I am passionate about deepening the bond between animals and the people who love them!” She helps people through every health or behavior concern that comes along. She will save you money, frustration, and time while increasing the health and happiness of both you and your animal friends.
