It is attached to Bangalore medical college, which is one of the top 10 medical schools in India. Minto eye hospital sees over 300-400 patient visits a day all of which are seen free of cost. I had 3 monthly rotations in various eye departments like glaucoma, Vitreoretinal surgery, Corneal and external diseases, strabismus & Paediatric Ophthalmology, Oculoplastic surgery and trauma, Community Ophthalmology and Neurophthalmology. I have had sufficient experience in independently performing basic surgeries like cataract surgery with Intraocular lens implantation, ocular trauma repair. I have assisted in vitreoretinal surgeries. I have had the opportunity to teach various clinical as well as theoretical topics in ophthalmology to undergraduate medical students, interns and post-graduate residents. During my training, I was able to foster the desire and acquire the tools needed to achieve a good knowledge of the methods of clinical research. I am also very well versed with using the internet to search research resource websites such as PubMed, eMedicine and the understanding of Cochrane Systematic Reviews.
