Dr. Varghese has worked for ship owning, management and ship construction since 1997. He has been involved with the LNG Membrane type hull structure design in the Daewoo Ship Building and Marine Engineering Company in South Korea where he contributed immensely into new production technologies of LNG carriers to improve the rate of production and received his Ph D in Shipbuilding Management from South Korea. Dr. Varghese holds various international journal publications in shipbuilding to his credit. From 2006 he has been associated with Capt. Vanderperre controlled Univan group and has been looking after new ship building projects and ship conversions. Although a tanker man, he has recently built and delivered large fleet of bulkers. Dr. Varghese handles all of Univan’s NB design and constructions. He represents Univan at industry forums. He is always eager take up challenging marine projects which is beneficial in commercial world, environmentally friendly and with operational convenience.He has helped companies like Vanship holdings Ltd by conducting technical due diligence, industry analysis, ship design assessments, etc. during the pre-investment phase. Also during the post investment phase he is responsible for improving the performance of assets through the constructions management of ships.Presently he us taking care of company’s new constructions and ship management activities of Large Tankers, bulkers in China and in Korea.
