A recognized authority in cultural resource management, Dr. R. Christopher Goodwin has contributed his expertise to a range of infrastructure, energy, and military projects. The President, CEO, and Director of Research for R. Christopher Goodwin & Associates, Inc., Dr. Goodwin has served as the Principal Investigator for numerous large-scale cultural resource studies, such as those conducted for Strategic Petroleum Reserve locations, liquefied natural gas facilities, and interstate natural gas pipelines, including the longest pipelines constructed east of the Mississippi River in more than 50 years. Dr. Goodwin has worked on archeological and architectural examinations at the Washington Redskins’ stadium, as well as at Baltimore’s Oriole Park at Camden Yards and M&T Bank Stadium. Dr. R. Christopher Goodwin possesses significant experience with historic preservation planning, and he has helped both government and industry to ensure compliance with state and federal statutes covering historic and archeological sites. He has served as Principal Investigator on compliance and preservation ventures for the U.S. Department of Energy; the National Park Service’s Southeast, Southwest, and National Capital regions; and Her Majesty’s Service in the United Kingdom. Dr. Goodwin has also served as a contractor with the U.S. Department of Defense, performing assignments at more than 200 military installations, as well as with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, including work in New Orleans, St. Louis, Nashville, and Pittsburgh, among other locations. Moreover, he is considered a judicial expert in cultural resource management and historic archeology.
