CurrentChief Education and Training Officer, July 2019-todayChief Academic Affairs Officer, June 2017-June 2019Executive Director of Education and Research, December 2015-June 2017The 12 independently accredited institutions collectively serve 145k students, transfer 14k students, & graduate 33k individuals, annually. I provide statewide leadership and I am directly responsible for workforce development, academic affairs, adult education, manufacturing extension partnership, student services, & institutional research efforts across LA. Some accomplishments:•Record graduating class from 19,810 in 2014 to 33,428 in 2020 with significant growth in short term credentials & certificates to 15,083. The 2020 class comprised a 7% increase in minority students graduating. Analysis by Old Dominion University of 9,452 individuals who earned short-term credentials w/ LCTCS indicated immediate labor market returns of $6,715.81 (+19%). •Created new Career and Technical Certificate (CTC), 6-18 hours credential linked to industry certifications. In 2019-2020, 4,038 graduated from 150 CTCs offered. Graduates now count in State’s funding formula whereas they did not before.•Developed 3 new methods for earning high school equivalency (HSE) diploma in LA. In addition to HSE Test, adults without a HS diploma can earn HSE through completion of College Preparation Courses, Placement Assessment, or Integrated Career Pathway.•Established data transparency framework including public facing demographics on students, graduates, & employees by college and programs of study including race, gender, age, parish of residence & other points to support expansion of system’s diversity, equity, & inclusion efforts. •Standardized collecting, assessing, reporting, & forecasting for Our Louisiana 2020, bold public agenda involving 6-year plan to build better Louisiana by significantly boosting skills, education & earning power of its citizens, & meet the diverse workforce needs of industry.
