Leveraging 27 years of solving information technology problems, Ric Daza applies his security and risk management expertise for organizations across the world. Ric has consulted to foreign and domestic government agencies, as well as Fortune 500 companies in the financial, technology, defense, healthcare, national sports franchises, and manufacturing sectors.Ric designs security operations for varied organizations and currently serves as an interim CISO and executive consultant. He specializes in an evidence-based approach to tackling process and technology challenges, including networking, risk management, security analysis, incident response, risk communication, vulnerability management, metrics and maturity programs, data science, programming, and more. Ric has several certifications and degrees. He holds a double CCIE² (R&S, Security), CISSP, CRISC, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, PMP, and RHCE. He also has a Doctorate (PhD) in Information Assurance.Fluent in English and Spanish, Ric has taught and consulted to organizations across the Americas. He is passionate about being on the pulse of security and risk issues. He gives back to the industry, sharing his expertise as an exam content developer - literally crafting the tests, including the CISSP - for (ISC)², the largest cybersecurity certification body in the world. In his spare time, Ric enjoys teaching and mentoring the next generation of security professionals. He is an adjunct instructor with global cybersecurity school, SecureSet, and frequently speaks at national conferences. He also is the Cybersecurity Mentor with the Tampa Bay Wave Accelerator, a Committee Member with West Florida ISACA, and a recipient of two NSA Fellowships.
