Richard F Selden, MD, PhD has an extensive background in professional leadership, business development, and team building. He founded ANDE in 2004, and the company has grown to be the premier provider of Rapid DNA Identification products and services to a diverse clientele.Prior to ANDE, Dr. Selden spent over fifteen years as a leader in biotechnology. He has built successful commercial relationships with a broad range of institutions, from Fortune 50 companies to small start-ups. Dr. Selden has been publicly recognized for his entrepreneurial ventures and his significant contributions to the biotechnology industry. Dr. Selden received his MD and PhD in Genetics from Harvard Medical School and trained as a pediatrician at the Massachusetts General Hospital.Dr. Richard F Selden is an integral figure in the development of Rapid DNA technology. He is an author on over 35 scientific publications and an inventor of over 40 United States patents, many of which represent major advances in critical aspects of the technology. Through his work at ANDE, Dr. Selden hopes to enable Rapid DNA Identification to be routinely used in police stations, borders and ports, hospitals, and corporate offices, so that the technology can broadly improve societal safety.
