In the 1990's, he pioneered the collection/analysis (AI & MD) of real time claims/pharmacy/precertification data to improve health & lower costs (AWAC.md-AWAC®). In 2000, - the first physician-led precertification company (iProcertMD). Working with employers, third party payers, reinsurance carriers & plan designers - authored language to help constituents achieve better health, better outcomes, better care at lower costs, detect and deter fraud & abuse, & build program efficiencies. After selling FBHS, FPA, IHS, iProcertMD & AWAC, he has served as a consultant on select projects, and started several new companies.He began his career as a family & emergency MD with a 4 yr tour in the US Army.
