I am a Disciples of Christ minister at large, having retired from ministry having served for 13 years as pastor at Central Woodward Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Troy, MI. I continue as Editor of Sharing the Practice, the Journal of the Academy of Parish Clergy. Prior to pastoral ministry I served as Associate Professor of Theology at Manhattan Christian College, Visiting Assistant Professor at Fuller Theological Seminary, and Director of the Library at William Carey International University.In addition to serving as editor of Sharing the Practice, I am the author or editor of fifteen books, numerous articles and book reviews, a contributor to the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, and an active blogger (Ponderings on a Faith Journey).Specialties: Writing, Blogging, teaching/lecturing, interfaith leadership, preaching, church history, theology, Christian ministry, spiritual gifts
