Dr. Moore's original path was to pursue a math and engineering degree at UC Davis while playing football. As a sophomore, moving to the Bay Area and a switch to the biological sciences produced a degree in Physiology at UC Berkeley while working as a personal trainer and nutrition counselor. After graduating podiatric medical school in San Francisco, he moved to Houston to train in one of the top US foot and ankle surgical residency programs. Now a veteran foot and ankle surgeon for over 25 years, he embraces the importance of preventative medicine and wellness in his practice due to the struggles his overweight patients face with their lower extremity pain. In 2004 he wrote the first edition of "The Body of Knowledge - The Complete Weight Management System for a Lifetime of Health". Since then our nation's health care and obesity crises opened an opportunity to combine these experiences and book content into The Body of Knowledge system and brand with corporate acronym "bOK".
