Independent contractor at NASA - Johnson Space Center where we organized and applied an innovative suite of advanced technologies to create virtual reality simulations of individual astronauts. Their 3D models were anthropometrically exact with individualized ranges of motion, photorealistic, had complete internal anatomy with relevant physiologic and biomechanical attributes, and offered tactile interaction through a haptic interface. The simulations included precise models of the spacesuit and Space Shuttle cockpit, and were used to evaluate human factors engineering aspects of flight mission operations training, and constraints imposed by being within the suit and in a microgravity environment.

The company was created to repurpose the suite of technologies, US Patent and other IP derived from the NASA astronaut simulation program. Patients receiving rehabilitation healthcare, whether from conditions like cerebral palsy or multiple sclerosis, recovery from stroke, or victims of traumatic brain injury such as military veterans or accident survivors, have many comparable challenges to astronauts trying to function within a spacesuit while weightless. Much rehab patient care is applied generically, but those undergoing rehabilitation recovery need and should have individualized treatment planning and delivery. Creation of a virtual replica of an individual patient offers physicians, therapists and other caregivers the opportunity to deliver personalized medical care.

Creating virtual and augmented reality patients that train Physical Diagnosis by offering visual Inspection of diverse external attributes, Auscultation with both normal and pathologic heart, lung and bowel sounds, and both Palpation and Percussion through highly innovative application of ultrasonic haptics, producing realistic tactile interaction with the simulated patients in diverse virtual clinical care environments.

Plan, organize, oversee onsite operations, monitor outcomes and prepare evaluation of projects to provide maternal and child health education and the distribution of medications and other resources to Caribbean and Latin American locations.
