Dr. Maharaj is a globally recognized expert in the field of CG, stakeholder relations, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and regulatory policy, defining the concept of Best in Class CGwith special emphasis on extensive qualitative and quantitative research. Dr. Maharaj’s one-of-a-kind research into CG spanned the globe, incorporated literature reviews, interview sessions and survey questionnaires. This research formed the basis of Dr. Maharaj’s Governance/Decision Making Model with its foundation resting on three pillars (economic, societal, and environmental) providing guidance and a road map to both internal and external stakeholders. Dr. Maharaj’s research has explored interdisciplinary boundaries among business/management/educational institutions/governmental bodies with regard to CG/ Leadership and CSR and sets the stage to create core development solutions for leaders that contributes to enhanced institutional/organizational culture, while positively impacting leadership capabilities and employee experiences. Key to this Governance/Decision Making Model is integrating strategies, looking at organizational structures, regulatory policy (both formal and informal) and decision making processes. Dr. Maharaj has lead enterprise efforts to analyze and enhance project performance and improve performance standards related to project execution activities. Dr. Maharaj’s Governance Model aids in identifying organizational skill gaps (best in class mind–set, attitude, capabilities and systems) with regard to process governance and provide recommendations for gap closure.
