AN EXPERT IN MANAGEMENT OF A MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL &A PASSIONATE PROFESSOR OF ANATOMYPresently, I am the Medical Superintendent of C. U. Shah Medical College Hospital, a 700 bedded, Tertiary Care Teaching Hospital at Surendranagar, Gujarat. This is a Self-Financed Private Medical College managed by a Public Charitable Trust. I have been at the helm of affairs in managing the hospital operations of this Multi-Speciality and Super-Specialty Post Graduate Level Teaching Hospital for over a decade.Apart from my basic qualifications of MBBS and MD, I am also a Masters in Hospital Administration (MHA) and a Ph.D. in Management Studies. My Ph.D. doctorate thesis was on “Health Care Service Quality in Medical College Hospitals of Gujarat”. I am a Certified Internal Counselor for NABH and was the institutional coordinator for NAAC and I am a Yellow belt in Six Sigma. My qualifications include an M.Sc in Disaster Management, Diploma in Industrial Hygiene (DIH), Advanced Course in Medical Education (ACME), and a Bachelor’s of Law Degree (LLB).As a Medical Teacher for over 18 years, I am a Professor of Anatomy (MBBS, MD-Anatomy) with specialized training in Fetal Autopsy and Medical Genetics (SGPGI, Lucknow).I currently teach Embryology and Genetics to MBBS and Paramedical students. My researchinterest is in ‘Human Anomalies’ and have authored more than 20 Scientific Research Articles in the fields of Anatomy, Quality, and Hospital Administration.I consider myself an Amalgam of a Passionate ‘Medical Teacher’, a Quality driven ‘Hospital Administrator’ and a ‘Research Scholar’ in Medical sciences.
