Researched various ways to manipulate hormonal signals in plants for the benefit of the horticulture industry. This includes alkaline buffer treatments to 'trick' plants into thinking they are water-stressed.I also researched the potential for using bacteria (Variovorax paradoxus) that metabolises the pre-cursors to ethylene and thus can limit the activity.
