Over my 22 years of clinical and administrative practice in hospice and palliative care, I’ve developed a diverse skillset to exercise my passion:- leadership, mentorship, & program development- interdisciplinary team-building & sustainability- hospital/hospice/palliative care collaborations - deep knowledge of Medicare hospice regulations - quality improvement, documentation & compliance - expert witness & Medicare hospice appeals support - complex pain & symptom management - symptom & concurrent care algorithms - goal concordant care & advance care planning- national and state volunteerism & advocacy- medical writing, editing, speaking, & social media- diversity, equity & inclusion Experience and education in clinical, leadership, and business domains have given me the knowledge and tools to successfully navigate our rapidly changing healthcare environment. Doing so through the lens of hospice and palliative care helps me to leverage unique opportunities that align serious illness and end-of-life care with current and emerging health care delivery and reimbursement models.
