I am a professional and enthusiastic biological scientist. During my 15 years of biological research experience, I've worked on projects in a wide range of scientific fields, including molecular biology, microbiology, toxicology, biotechnology, immunology, and cell signaling. My doctoral study focused on the importance of kinases in mycobacterial pathogenicity. My postdoctoral research focused on autophagy signaling in colonic goblet cells during gastrointestinal (GI) illnesses, as well as the role of virulence factors in mycoplasma infection in mammary glands. I have worked for several well-known institutes across the globe, such as PGIMER Chandigarh, India; University of Calgary, Canada, and Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. Moreover, During the COVID-19 pandemic, I also assisted in the diagnosis of SARS-Cov2 infection in human samples at a BSL2 laboratory. At George Mason University, my present research endeavor focuses on the antiviral mechanisms that prevent HIV from invading host cells.
