Worked across the business to plan, develop and implement improvements related to Data Protection. Policy and procedure implementation. Data protection compliance management, development of Information Management Group, improved security procedures around systems access, CCTV review, advice and guidance on all data protection related issues.

Responsible for developing and implementing project management framework, reporting mechanisms and project management of strategic projects. Programme management and reporting - five main workstreams and six supporting streams, PMO development, staff management. Management and implementation of projects such as Ofsted G2, CiviCRM, Green Gyms, intranet refresh, office moves and closures, retail developments, OVO Energy 'I Dig Trees'. Also development of new propositions with Local Authority and to utilise a private investment of £200k.

Responsible for data protection, implementing a compliance framework, developing policy & procedures, retention schedule, and corporate approach to information management. Dealing with data protection issues such as Subject Access Requests (SARs), data breaches, data audit / RoPA, and Privacy Impact Assessments.

Working with GreenSquare Group to design and implement a PRINCE2-based project management methodology for corporate projects. Development of a corporate decision making body and working towards the establishment of a P3O.

Using PRINCE2 methodology to develop a new business stream for the organisation. Setting up Interim Management Services and integrating with Business Support Services. Coordination of internal personnel for initial pilot and subsequent running. Close work with Marketing function on web content and promotional materials.

I had responsibility for generating investment leads from third sector organisations. I developed presentation materials and delivered workshops pertinent to raising awareness of investment finance in sector organisations. In addition I successfully submitted several grant applications on behalf of clients plus successful submissions for Development Support. I was involved in the initiation and development of the Yorkshire and Humber VCS Procurement Group giving an opportunity to forge partnerships with other organisations such as the Regional Forum. I was also involved in organising sub-regional events to promote the Social Enterprise Investment Fund to organisations delivering health/social care outcomes involving health Commissioners.

Responsibility for running the environmental social enterprise company including funding procurement, project development, business planning, strategic representation, strategic development, recruitment, reporting to the Board, and general day-to-day running of the operation. I successfully ran projects funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF); one around developing the Bransholme Enterprises organisation itself (£270k over three years) and another developing a social enterprise alliance (£350k over three years). This incorporated monitoring the other EU funded projects in the area and was in partnership with another local organisation. I also attracted Lottery funding to a community allotment project worth over £600k over the period 2004-2011 and another £58k to a community woodland project to January 2009. I also developed the Bransholme Community Alliance. My role as Chair of the local Jobs & Prosperity Group saw me develop a training and employment strategy and action plan for the local area and feed this in to the Local Strategic Partnership where I sat as a community sector representative on the Earnings Partnership, the Investment Planning Group, and was Vice Chair of the One Hull Voluntary & Community Sector Forum.

In this role I managed six projects dealing with young people aged 10 – 17 years old with a focus on diversion from drugs and crime. The work involved management of casual and permanent employees, project planning, and management of a budget of around £250,000. I had responsibility for producing reports for both management and associated outside agencies including case studies on individuals involved with the projects. I was involved with a great deal of inter-agency working with Social Services, Youth Offending Team, Drug Action Team and various children’s services and I was required to give verbal reports and presentations on a regular basis. I also designed and delivered training programmes and modules aimed at both young people and staff. A variety of activities were delivered across the projects including pond-dipping and environmental activities, sport, and drugs awareness. I was successful in attracting funding from central government through Positive Futures (£200k) to run anti-drugs projects, and from the Football Foundation (£250k) to develop a local organisation - Dads Against Drugs.
