    In this role I managed six projects dealing with young people aged 10 – 17 years old with a focus on diversion from drugs and crime. The work involved management of casual and permanent employees, project planning, and management of a budget of around £250,000. I had responsibility for producing reports for both management and associated outside agencies including case studies on individuals involved with the projects. I was involved with a great deal of inter-agency working with Social Services, Youth Offending Team, Drug Action Team and various children’s services and I was required to give verbal reports and presentations on a regular basis. I also designed and delivered training programmes and modules aimed at both young people and staff. A variety of activities were delivered across the projects including pond-dipping and environmental activities, sport, and drugs awareness. I was successful in attracting funding from central government through Positive Futures (£200k) to run anti-drugs projects, and from the Football Foundation (£250k) to develop a local organisation - Dads Against Drugs.
