Former academic on a mission in FamTech. ***My background in community health nursing influenced my research interests, focusing on health inequities, social determinants of health, and psychosocial factors affecting health outcomes among ethnic minority groups. I conducted research on how psychosocial and acculturative stressors contribute to poorer cardiovascular health among South Asian Americans. Transitioning to social entrepreneurship, I founded a non-profit organization supporting professional women and later ventured into the childcare sector, recognizing childcare as an overlooked social determinant of parental health. We build partnerships with trusted nanny agencies to help parents access and book a cadre of babysitters matched exclusively for them. Easy access to quality childcare leads to reduced stress, increased productivity, and peace of mind among parents.
